It was a big slap on the face of government, politicians and elite-class of Bangladesh! To me the biggest question is, why the "boys" were chosen from the elite-class families instead of poor madrasa or middle-class students? What is the motive behind it? Why are they even being chosen from a particular age group?
Now we seriously need to think about the way our children are being raised up, whom are they making their friends with, whom are they meeting? What are they doing?
Did you notice any changes in their behaviour lately?
Are they showing less interest in worldly life?
Those who are getting involved in this terrorist activity, they are certainly being told the importance of heaven rather than the worldly life; hence, they are being easily manipulated to the barbaric thoughts (which is not exactly a thought, rather it's a criminality).
I know the time and the situation is challenging for us, but don't you think we should start thinking of being preventive instead of being reactive. And this has to be started from our home, schools, colleges, universities madrasas, mosques, streets, playground and every possible place where there is a little chance of our kids being distracted in their normal thoughts.
Let's put our thoughts together and prevent it collectively with our love, affection and extra care for the kids.
As parents make them understand how much you love your kids, how much you care for them, and if they take this violent root how sad you could be, how much humiliation it can bring to you and your family.
It's easy to call someone criminal, but it's not too tough to bring them back on the right track.
Let's our faith guide us!
